"You don’t take a photograph, you make it.” - Ansel Adams

"We're all products of what we want to project to the world." - Cindy Sherman

As a photographer my main area of practice is that of portraiture, currently developing a fashion inspired portfolio which is where my passion lies. I explore a range of ideas that have included identity and personal individuality, wanting to be different within creative vision, many of which surface from both a personal and a psychological nature. Being a photographer, I like to create work from both analogue and digital media with my practice demonstrating a strong development of technical skills. I am keen to produce more contemporary positioned work that my audience can relate to, that being the production of a greater understanding of the subject that I am trying to explore photographically. Theory, history and contemporary practice enable me to consider a variety of means of expression. My practice is influenced by many artists, Tim Walker, Richard Avedon, Patrick Demarchelier and Cindy Sherman to name a few, but I am drawn to work that also more specifically relates to my ideas. This also includes my development and experience as a visual artist.
